How States Use Digital Learning in Support of Education Reform
In a new report funded by Illinois State Board of Education, co-authors Dr. Tom Clark and Dr. Elizabeth Oyer explore the changing landscape of education reform as federal resources shift away from dedicated funding of technology programs into the hands of state leaders to innovate.
States are taking the lead in many aspects of education reform and the authors assert that digital learning solutions can help states meet key education reform goals such as preparing students for the global workforce, strengthening science, technology, engineering and mathematics education (STEM), improve teacher effectiveness, and offer new models for turning around low performing schools.
How do states use digital solutions to support education reform via state-level and collaborative efforts? How can states and districts take action to integrate digital learning and technologies into their own reform efforts? The co-authors and moderator will explore these questions and discuss actionable policy and practice ideas that address key education reform goals at all levels.
Speakers:
Dr. Tom Clark, President of TA Consulting
Dr. Elizabeth Oyer, Director of EvalSolutions
