Posting of Logos

These Terms and Conditions Govern Your Use of This Site
These Terms and Conditions of Use constitute the contractual agreement between you and iNACOL regarding the use of our Site and any activities or transactions you may conduct through this Site. Your use of our Site constitutes your agreement to abide by these Terms and Conditions. This Information Practice contains our commitment to you concerning your privacy and how iNACOL may use information you provide.
Information We Collect
Information collected is used for membership and demographic purposes. It is collected in multiple forms that include online forms, email, or other communications. Additional information is collected using standard Internet log information collected by all websites. The log information includes host system, time and duration of visits to our pages. No personally identifiable information is collected in this process. Information collected by the Internet log is combined with all other visits to create traffic statistics. This information is used to evaluate overall traffic levels and trends affecting our website.
How We Use Information
All information collected is confidential and remains within iNACOL. iNACOL will not share, sell or trade any personal information. Information, including our web statistics, is not generally made available to any third party sources. Any information that becomes published will be on an aggregated, non-identifying basis. Personal information that can be used to identify or contact you, such as your name, email address or mailing address will not be made available to any third party group. Third parties are defined as those who are not directly involved in the maintenance or running of our web site and who are not program or information managers of iNACOL. We assume that members are interested in relating to distance education and online initiatives. Therefore, as a member we will provide third party information on products, services, and research that we feel have value to iNACOL’s membership.
Members may request to view and edit their personal information by contacting iNACOL.
Each of our employees, Board of Directors, and authorized members consent to this policy, and only authorized employees have access to our visitor’s and member’s personal information.
Limitations on use of Personal Information
Personal information is used strictly for the purposes provided. For example, information provided and intended for posting on iNACOL’s web site may include personal contact information such as email, mailing address or phone numbers. Under these conditions, we will post that information on our web site in accordance with iNACOL policy.
Unless specifically identified, iNACOL’s logo and all tangible content that includes graphics, pictures, text, audio and video clips and other content are copyrighted and are the exclusive property of iNACOL. Materials may be copied or downloaded provided that all restrictions noted for that material are complied with and that notices of copyrights and/or proprietary notices are included. Ownership and rights to material copied or downloaded are not transferable to the user and remain the sole property of iNACOL.
Control of Content of User-Posted Information
All information provided by users that include emails, posting to listservs and forums shall be the property of iNACOL. iNACOL may use any materials provided within the limitations of the Fair Information Practice policies without restriction or compensation.
Users may not post materials, information, or solicitations that might be considered as “SPAM.” iNACOL is not responsible for any liability resulting from content posted in user forums or content pages. iNACOL reserves the right to deny access privileges to users who fail to comply with the terms of this agreement.
Links to Other Sites
iNACOL does not have control of content, accuracy, or copyrights to sites that are linked outside of the iNACOL web site. We do not endorse, recommend, or authenticate the accuracy of information at linked sites. They are provided as an informational or service resource to iNACOL members and users of the web site and individuals must evaluate linked sites for any usefulness or purpose.

iNACOL, as well as the iNACOL and iNACOL Symposium logos, are registered service marks of the International Association for K-12 Online Learning, formerly known as the North American Council for Online Learning (iNACOL). The iNACOL and iNACOL Symposium logo may be used in the following ways:
- Non-profit use
The iNACOL and iNACOL Symposium logos may be used for non-profit purposes. E-learning associations, institutions and entities and other non-profit education-related organizations may use it on materials developed for iNACOL activities as well as for other printed or web site applications so as to demonstrate the organization’s support of and involvement in iNACOL. Such organizations are urged to direct their constituents to the www.inacol.org or www.inacol.org/symposium websites for information.
- Commercial use
Any use of the iNACOL name and logos by commercial entities must be approved by iNACOL. Use of the logos must avoid any suggestion of iNACOL’s endorsement of the product, program or company.
- Logo downloads and use
The iNACOL logo, including the web site url and the full name of iNACOL, MUST be used in its entirety and as it appears in the logo file, and only according to the other provisions of this notice. The official colors are indicated as follows: blue PMS #541 and gold PMS #143 and must be adhered to exactly if the logo is used in color. The logo may also be used in black. The elements in the logo may not be repositioned or altered in any way. iNACOL encourages organizations to add their organization name to the logo. If an organization is interested in doing that, please contact us.
- Editorial and advertising use
Any individual or organization wishing to reproduce the iNACOL or iNACOL Symposium logo in any editorial article, may do so provided that the other guidelines herein are followed. For advertising purposes, the individual or organization must submit a request for such use to iNACOL Requests must include an explanation of the intended use and a sample of that use. Please contact us with your request.
- All authorized uses of the iNACOL name and logos shall be considered a license from iNACOL to the authorized user. Such license is revocable in the discretion of iNACOL and may not be transferred or sublicensed in any manner by any authorized user.
- The iNACOL name and logos may not be used in any manner that, in the sole opinion of iNACOL: discredits iNACOL or tarnishes its reputation and goodwill; is false or misleading; violates the rights of others; violates any law, regulation, or other public policy; or mischaracterizes the relationship between iNACOL and the user, including but not limited to any use that might be reasonably construed as an endorsement, approval, sponsorship, or certification by iNACOL of the user, the user’s business or organization, or the user’s products or services.
- Use of the iNACOL name and logos shall create no rights for users in or to the name or logo or their use beyond the terms and conditions of this limited and revocable license. The iNACOL name and logo shall remain at all times the sole and exclusive intellectual property of iNACOL, and iNACOL reserves the right to prohibit use of the such name and logo in its sole discretion.
