On Wednesday, April 8th, iNACOL hosted a Leadership Webinar featuring the authors of the report Performance-Based Funding & Online Learning: Maximizing Resources for Student Success.
The webinar presenters discussed the report highlights and examined performance-based funding models. The report provides an overview of performance-based funding concepts while exploring policy considerations. An important contribution of the report includes adequacy studies and new research on costs as well as a detail of funding models for online learning. Steve Kossakoski provided an overview of the statewide performance-based funding model from the New Hampshire Virtual Learning Academy Charter School in practice today. Time was dedicated to having a discussion with presenters and the audience on the pros, cons and important elements for policy considerations after the presentations.
